KC Business Journal

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

The September 22-28 edition of the Kansas City Business Journal has a nice feature on Enzymes, Inc. - and enzyme supplementation in general - written by Rob Roberts. It is a very well written piece, and we’re happy with it on this end - for the most part.

It seems like every time a piece is written about this industry, in mainstream media, it is some “ephedraesque” expose furthering the agenda of this “nameless, faceless mysterious entity” wishing to regulate the industry out of existence, or is some feel-good fluff written out of emotion rather than focusing on actual efficacy.

It is definitely refreshing to read an article presenting facts, without an attempt to twist the information to take one side or the other. Isn’t this what responsible journalism supposed to do?

The story was picked up by other biz journals as well - here’s a link to the San Jose Business Journal

Natural Products Expo East - Teton Wellness Festival

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

Well, it’s definitely time for another blog entry. Busy as usual around here…

Peggy just returned from a BioSET conference in San Francisco – and Dr. Lieberman was there as well (San Fran that is), getting some training on the Cardio Grade machine. He will be attending the Kansas Chiropractic convention in Overland Park, Kansas from Sept. 29th to October 1st – if you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to stop in and say hello.

After that, Dr. Lieberman, Lynn, and Peggy will join Doctor Cutler in Baltimore for the Natural Products Expo East event – we’re really looking forward to the event. If you are a buyer for a retail outlet, and are interested in providing your customers with the best digestive and systemic enzyme-based nutritional supplements on the market, be sure to stop by booth 2019 and talk to someone about the WellZymes product line from Enzymes, Inc.

After Expo East, Lynn and Dr. Cutler will be attending the Teton Wellness Festival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is apparently a HUGE consumer event, and Dr. Cutler is a featured speaker. That is a beautiful area of the country, with a great deal of people interested in improving and maintaining their health through natural supplementation. We can’t wait – hope to see you soon!

Digestive Voyage

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

There’s a new digestive voyage article up on the Enzyme Experts website - www.enzymeexperts.com.  This installment is the second to last, and concentrates on the small intestine including parts, structure, secretions, and absorption.

For those of you looking forward to meeting Dan Kaur Weamer, from our technical services department, at the IAACN Scientific Symposium in San Diego this weekend, we apologize but she is unable to attend.  Lynn will be there however - and can probably answer any possible question you may have about enzyme supplementation!  In addition  to being a featured speaker at the symposium, Dr. Ellen Cutler will be spending some time at the Enzymes, Inc. booth.  As I’ve mentioned here before, her new book MicroMiracles: Discover the Healing Power of Enzymes features many formulations from the WellZymes product line.

The Kansas City Business Journal article should be out fairly soon.  Peggy, Steve, and myself have been working hard to coordinate a conversation between the reporter and one of the numerous MDs who uses Enzymes, Inc. products.  These docs have the most hectic schedules - I guess I really had no idea until I began soliciting their assistance with this article - and Mr. Roberts, the reporter, is not exactly just sitting around watching the grass grow either.  He is working under the pressure of many concurrent deadlines.  I suppose it would have been helpful if we all had a little more time to make something happen, but we didn’t. I have my fingers crossed one of our docs talks with him today…

Anyway, thanks for reading - stay tuned for more info. and we hope to see you soon!

FCA, KC Business Journal, and more…

Friday, September 1st, 2006

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth during the 2006 FCA National Convention – we certainly enjoyed the chance to get to speak with our old customers, as well as meeting some new ones!  This event just keeps growing and growing – we are honored to have been a part of it since the beginning.

We’re having a reporter from the Kansas City Business Journal in today to interview Lynn and Jim for a small business profile in an upcoming issue.  It’s great to have the opportunity to do something like this, and even better to have gained the attention of such a respected business publication – we must be doing something right!  Stay tuned – we’ll let you know when the article comes out, and hopefully be able to post it on one of our websites.

Speaking of websites, we just placed a tile ad for WellZymes on Alternative Medicine magazine’s website – www.alternativemedicine.com.  It’s one of our first online advertising endeavors, and we certainly hope for the best.  Alternative Medicine is a fantastic publication, and the website it filled with helpful information and interesting articles.  We’re pleased to have partnered with such an outstanding organization.

Are you going to any trade shows or conventions in the next few months?  We are – come and visit us at:

Natural Products Expo East, October 4-7 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.  Look for us in booth # 2019!

I guess that’s all for now – keep taking your enzymes and we’ll talk to you soon!
